AI Strategy & Practice Conference: What it takes to put AI to work

Today is an exciting day, as we’re announcing our first dedicated event in London for AI practitioners to come together and get to grips with real world AI deployments! AI can deliver real value. The challenge for organisations is turning promising applications into systems that work reliably for the people who use them.

On 21 October 2026, Safe Intelligence is hosting AI Strategy & Practice Conference at Ham Yard Hotel in London. We’re bringing together people with direct experience of building, deploying and governing AI to discuss what is working and what it takes to make progress in practice.

The day will explore three connected questions:

• Where are organisations seeing meaningful benefits from AI, and how do they know it is working?
• What processes help teams deploy AI while maintaining quality, integrity and appropriate oversight?
• How should organisations prepare for the changes ahead over the next three to five years?

We’ll look at experiences across enterprise deployment, public-facing services and internal AI tools. The focus is on useful lessons and open discussion of the decisions teams face, from measuring value to testing systems as they change.

Our first announced speakers are Richard Masters, formerly Vice President, Data & AI at Virgin Atlantic; Mira Pijselman, Managing Director, AI Governance Engineering at Ankura; and Stuart McMeechan, EMEA Applied AI Engineering Leader at OpenAI.
